This Is the End (2013)

Perhaps I needed to be high, but I found this end-of-the-world comedy to be pretty tedious. In the eve of the Apocalypse, “good” people are whisked off to heaven while a bunch of pretentious Hollywood poseurs (Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill, and a bunch of other stars playing themselves) are stuck in James Franco’s house (essentially hell). Not a bad premise. But the film has a generally lazy vibe and the jokes are dull at best. You can just tell This Is the End is the sort of vanity project only pretentious Hollywood poseurs would get millions of dollars to make.

Or perhaps I needed to be high.
